Although there was a lot of decent house being released in 2007 across many different sub-genres, we also had Samim, who was basically like the small chip on an otherwise fairly perfect piece of fine china. We will remember Samim from his song "Heaters", which lasted approximately half the amount of time as his 15 minutes of fame did. Heaters had the distinction of including an accordion as the main riff of the song and was considered an anthem worldwide during the summer of that year. Luckily the cold frost of the following fall immediately whipped people right back into their senses, relegating leftover copies of this abhorring attempt at music to the bargain bin of record shops globally. Needless to say, I don't think we will hear the accordion in the context of a dance music song for a very long time to come (hopefully forever).
