Reviews & Discussion

Review by Chris_McAvoy May 12, 2003
One half of Schloss Tegal, Richard Schneider, appears to have resided near Frederick, Maryland; not far from where I'm soon moving to surprisingly. He formerly owned Interzone Music an experimental electronic music store which was located on 210 N. Market St. in downtown Frederick from 1993-2000. That is an ironic and impressive term for a a formerly rural area that was best known for international 78 RPM record collector Joe Bussard's modern music despising (he is proud to admit it)1920's americana country-blues-jazz collection! Interzone's location switched to Martingsburg, West Virginia (!!!??) soon after leaving Frederick and did not have much different reception. It is now happily located in Prague, Czechlosvakia (not to be confused with a french alps record shop of the same name!!) where the european audience has warmly welcomed them with the same love and understanding that they showed during Schloss Tegal's early 1997 european tour...c'est la vie..Its tough for me here in America too, cant have it all :) but what an odd story from my perspective I dont make these things up!
