Reviews & Discussion

Review by noviellion Dec 18, 2005 (edited over 6 years ago)
At first glance, Sense is an artist that seems to blend in with current, modern electronica artists. But dont be fooled, he is not your soup d' jour musician. True musicians dont let the niche's of the present influence their music writing. The song is written as a song to be a song. Sense is a great example of this method, just writing music for music's sake and true expression without the pretentiousness of dsp trickery or trendy gear. There is a tangible substance that can be found in great songs and it rarely is attributed to timbres and gadgetry souly.
I just visited Senses website and it seems he is down and out emotionally about music/music scenes. He claims to have 'fallen from the face of the earth' due to Ebay, commercialism, soulseek, and some other things which are hard to read because the sentences flash on and off and upside down very fast for some type of annoyance effect. Hopefully he will regain his hope and get through whatever problems he is dealing with. All I can say is, there are situations in life that could be much worse. Imagine no one would like your music enough to seek it out. Isnt making music really about communication? I met a little girl last week and she seemed so innocent and she played with her dog and acted like any other young child would, then I was told she was on a waitng list for a lung transplant. Something like that is too heavy for me to even fathom. Be greatful of your exsistence and humble yourself when you get too selfish, it's good for your health.
