Shindoe

Shinedoe, invigorating face of a worldwide influental technoscene, back home in Holland a reliable force since the early days of electronic music. Starting of on the dancefloors of Amsterdam, she nowadays counts as a renowned dj/producer, acting on the biggest stages around the globe.

It all started with her love for the music. Chinedum Nwosu, Amsterdam-based clubber with Nigerian blood, performed as a professional dancer at the start of the 90’s in infamous clubs, house-acts and music videos. After several years of touring, she decides to focus more on the music. Somewhere in ’95 her mixtapes, showcasing a dynamic dj switching from warm Detroit techno to funky house and US garage, reach a bigger audience.

In ’96 new steps are being made, Shinedoe starts producing music herself. However, only wanting to release music that could contribute something to the clubscene, Shinedoe sets the bar high when it comes to her own productions.

In 2004 she underlines this approach with the release of her first single ‘Dillema’. This track can easily be described as an ‘instant classic’, being played by dj’s like Sven Väth, Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin and Ricardo Villalobos, going out as absolute dancefloor favourite in the European clubscene. Soon, a second hit follows. ‘Phunk’, produced under her alias Innersphere, makes a likewise impact in 2005. One year later she releases her debut album, Sound Travelling, filled with high end clubmusic where Detroit and minimal techno set the tone.

Right now, Shinedoe is more popular than ever. Not only producing lots of remixes (Booka Shade, The Knife, Orlando Voorn amongst others), in 2007 she was also asked to mix the newest Fuse-album. Since then, Shinedoe has reached the peak of her career. Together with Dylan Hermelijn (aka the Amsterdam based producer 2000 and One) she’s also on the head of Intacto Records, making Shinedoe not only an influential artist, but also an important trendsetter as labelboss.

So, the future looks better than ever. Shinedoe’s playing all around the world, also managing to get renowned artists to Amsterdam for her own Inmotion-events. And there’s new music on the way. At the start of 2009, Shinedoe is set to release her second album, aptly titled No Boundaries. Without any doubt, this record will have the same impact as earlier releases, again taking the Amsterdam clubber to a higher level as an artist, never forgetting about the love it all started with.
