Avant-garde Black Metal unit Sigh were formed in 1989 in Japan by Mirai (voice, bass, keyboard), Satoshi (guitar) and Kazuki (drums). Inspired by Venom and other '80s Thrash bands, Sigh soon adopted the European approach of Black Metal. Gaining the interest of Norwegian mastermind Euronymous, Sigh soon signed with the guitarists' Deathlike Silence Productions, but was released after Euronymous' death in 1993.
The full-length, which featured Sigh's new drummer Shinichi, gained international undeground respect and allowed the band to progress and continue recording intelligent releases. Their unique noises and composition's insanity helped the band become popular in the underground and non, reaching greater success with their latest albums, namely "Hail Horror Hail", "Scenario IV: Dread Dreams" and "Imaginary Sonicscape".
