Sil-X is a side project of two brothers whose long history of production and composition together has created tapes and discs of material. Now releasing tunes officially, the aim is to produce clattering fuzz-laden beats and drones while maintaining their fascination with exploring new sounds and textures. Their roots lie not only in early catalogue Warp Records but also bands such as Seefeel, Ecstasy of Saint Theresa and My Bloody Valentine amongst more obscure 1980s indie and electronic music. Beginning with the self-titled track "Sil-X" there will be a range of tracks released on a similar theme encompassing beatless soundscapes and bass heavy waveforms. Expect experimentation which doesn't leave behind the value of structure and mood. Turn it up to 11.
