Sipho

Profile:
One of the original members of the London Posse. Alongside Rodney P (then known as MC Rodie Rok), Bionic & DJ Biznizz they released the classic 12” 'London Posse', produced by Tim Westwood on Big Life Records back in 1987. The flipside, 'My Beatbox Reggae Style', featured Sipho rocking his incredible technique throughout the track, and is one of the best human beatbox records to ever be recorded. The record itself still gets heavy rotation some 18 years on from many DJs on both radio and in club sets.

Sipho never really went on to record much more with London Posse after this 12”, however he did work with Big Audio Dynamite and a short track entitled ‘Hip Hop Gangsta’ featured Sipho teamed up once again with his old sparring partner Rodney P, on the original version of Rodney’s ‘The Future’ LP that never got released.

He sadly passed away December 2004.
