Skrillex is a terrible producer. I don't care what genre of music he's making; it's garbage. Music should have some sort of cohesion. This guy just takes random noises and combines them in a clusterfuck of nonsense. Purely for 13 year old boys who don't know what music is yet. He is to electronic music what first person shooters are to video games; only appeals to teenage boys and gives the entire industry a bad name. Fuck you, Skrillex. Or whatever...
Don't listen to these hipsters that spend their time arguing about music. Skrillex is good if you like Electro House and "Brostep". If you like Burial, obviously this isn't for you. Genres evolve, like it or not; get over it. I personally like "Original Dubstep" and "Brostep". Think of rock. There are multiple sub-genres that are quite different. "Real" dubstep as to soft rock and "brostep" as to death metal. /rant
Get over yourselves, dubstepforum. If you were real artists/producers, you wouldn't hate on any other form of music.

What those millions of fans know about that you may not are the existence of many quality Skrillex productions not found on discogs.com since they weren't commercially released.
For one, he's super famous for doing a remix of La Roux - In For Kill which Skream himself (one of the fathers of dubstep) remixed and helped popularize in the dubstep scene. So firstly let me stress to you the quality of his remixes for various artists such as La Roux - In For The Kill, as well as Lady Gaga - Bad Romance (Skrillex Remix), Nero - Promises (Skrillex & Nero Remix), Avicii - Levels (Skrillex Remix) and his Grammy Award Winning remix of Benny Benassi - Cinema. If you're familiar with dance music, mainstream and underground, you'll notice how he's remixed some of the biggest names from both camps. Do understand that you need an artist's permission to remix their track so this alone is quite the accomplishment.
Secondly, the rest of his quality unreleased (noncommercial?) productions such as Foreign Beggars - Still Gettin' It (Feat. Skrillex), Skrillex - Scatta (Feat. Foreign Beggars & Bare Noize), Skrillex - My Name is Skrillex (Skrillex Remix), Kaskade & Skrillex - Lick It, Skrillex - Cats Rats and Skrillex - Slats Slats Slats. You can find copies of most of these circulating on youtube.
I should say I personally don't like Skrillex's first album (except for the last track) which I blame mostly on his style not being fully developed at that point. Sorry that I didn't mention his work with Korn, but since I don't really consider that EDM I felt it best just to leave it out.
biggest piece of shit that's come out of the industry, Liked by millions of sheep... he is nothing special, plus his whole look is just confusing, he won't be remembered, just a phase for commercial gain
One word to describe this guy: overrated. His electro house productions aren't anything too special and don't have a style that says that this song was made by Skrillex. As for his dubstep productions, they're pretty much formulatic hard dubstep, as I term the "brostep" trend; and don't have anything in them that makes them unique. Personally I find it hard to believe how he can have like a couple million fans on Facebook, especially since a number like that should go to the folks back in London who started the whole thing. Since I haven't heard any of his productions as a member of From First To Last, I can't say if he would be better sticking with rock music.
