Nora Dean (of "Barbire", a for the time scandalous explicit sexual song "fame"), Paulette Williams (2) and Gee Williams made up Ebony Sisters, The.

In 1969 they released Rescue Me / Unity Is Strength, which is a cover of Motown's [Invalid Artist].The song is credited to an other name variation of the group, Reggae Girls, The. In 1969 they also worked with Harry Mudie, releasing songs like "Each Time" and "Let Me Tell You Boy". "Let Me Tell You Boy" was a huge hit and stayed in the charts for over 6 weeks. They also released a few other songs like "Each Time", or cover versions of Son of "A Preacher Man" by Dusty Springfield and "Another Night" by Carla Thomas. That's all of their recordings, cause 1976 Nora Dean moved to New York and the group disbanded.
