fade to black...oh my gosh
the hardest jungle track this side of alec empire
lets face it this was what jungle was all about at the time and still stands head and shoulders above the tech step that some headz seem to prefer.
Hmmm...I wouldn't say this is the hardest side of D&B next to Alec Empire. That would be either Soundmurderer, Sonic & Silver, or 187. Souljah's style is alot more like A-sides, Future Cut, Skeptic, or even Ray Keith. In this track, Souljah experimented with spontaneous pattern changes with an Amen loop. The track starts off breakbeat, into a quick flurry of hard drum splashes, and then drops into an Amen abyss of snare-pitch variations. This part of the record is very classic, as everyone is starting to model themselves after this style of differing pitch Amen drum patterns. A very nice track that can mix into nearly other track, by selecting which drum pattern to mix with, as the pattern goes through about 4 changes, from start to finish.
