Sphere originally was collaborative effort, fronted by Orlando based electronic music producer & DJ Barry Robb, and DJ Matt Lippiatte. Shortly after the formation of Sphere, it became a solo project carried on by Barry Robb.

Known best for a 12" single on Fade Records featuring a pair of tracks entitled "Gravity" (Robb/Lippiatte) & "Gravitech" (Robb), which each found their way onto Global Underground compilations (GU11 & GU14, respectively).

Sphere frequently collaborated with other producers including Martin Accorsi, Travis Meck, and Dave Preston, yet has since begun working on a solo album project after selecting a new moniker, Altruistic Beings.
