this drum n bass duo's tracks are heavily influenced by science fiction films. their sound is best described as "futuristic".

Big fan of these guys. The duo combine a range of different styles to acheive their signature dark, futuristic, sci-fi tinged soundscapes; from the eerie background noises and fx of Techstep and Darkstep, to the rolling beats and penetrating basslines of Neurofunk. If I had to boil it down to a single word it'd be Neurotech, because every one of their tracks I've heard employs this formula, albeit in different ways.

IMO the 3 finest examples of their style & productions are: the deep atmospherics of "Pathogen", the epic roll of their own "Timelines" remix (with great use of strings), and the relentless rolling assault of "Altitude" with DJ Friction. A special mention should go to their excellent collaboration with K.Tee on "So Confused", which is, as I understand it, their only vocal tune to date. It goes along the same lines as "Pathogen" in its deepeness, but adds a more melodic edge with its airy synths and winning male vocal performance, and caps things off with an absolutely irresistable bassline appearing around the 1:50 mark. A gem.

In summary; they're awesome and all their work is, at the very least, good. Skynet's solo work tends to follow the duo's style with some noticeable adjustments, and is also worth a listen I reckon.

Stakka and Skynet are of course among the greatest D&B producers on this planet! I mean their dark-ambient based stuff really gives you the feeling like their trying to tell you something, a feeling most often found in classical music. They are among those who write the symphonies of the modern, digital, nuclear-powered monkeys that we are; ,,global report" is an excellent example of this*****. And of course when they feel like blowing their top off they really can, be on the look out for ,,Isolation" (with Keaton) it will rock your socks off!! Nothing bad can be said about their remix of the classic ,,Planet Rock" by Africa Bambaata. it simply kix-ass.
If you wish Bad-company had more off an dark-ambient style, and fex more bass-cones(dont know what its called in english) or if you like concord dawn these guys should make you weep like a baby!!

my favourite d&b producers. very cool and original sound along the lines of Bad Company. songs like Bios-Fear and Altitude are classics which have appeared endless times throughout mixes.
