Founding member and original drummer for Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers, starting in 1975.

Mr. Lynch left the band in 1994. Steve Ferrone, who first worked with Tom Petty starting in 1992, on his solo album Wildflowers, stepped up to the plate to replace Mr. Lynch as the band's drummer. Mr. Ferrone continues in that role to the present day.
