Steve "Silk" Hurley is "THE REMIXER" of the 20Th century !!!

Steve's music defined almost 20 years of music in my life. If house music were a mission in life, this man has been touched by God.

In 2006 he released a compilation of house/gospel music with greats such as Ce Ce Peniston, Greg Gibbs and 2 Live Crew, but it's only available on iTunes. For the life of me I can't understand why it was never released on CD. I wrote to him and told him what incredible tracks are on this compilation and asked when it would be released on CD and I received in the mail, 4 CD's of the compilation with handwritten labels from the man himself.

While I framed the CD's and will never sell them, I'm still disappointed that I can't share my excitement of this album with the rest of the world who loves this man and his music. The iTunes version doesn't do it justice.

Hurley was a top 1st-generation producer, and the first to successfully integrate the chicago sound into a form which was palatable to popular tastes.
