Strofaria

The man behind Strofaria project is Vyacheslav (or Slava for short) from the Russian capital Moscow. Born in 1985 Slava started taking great interest in electronic music at a very early age especially in the styles of rave scene at the time such as goatrance and techno. Eventually as time progressed and Y2K came along Slava got sucked in by the new sound of psytrance. As more understanding of this style and the culture behind it developed, so did Slava's enthusiasm and as a result Slava started DJ'ing and organizing parties around Moscow. In 2003 Slava started writing his own music, at first in styles like techno, electro and psychedelic breaks. At the beginning of 2005 Slava's first psytrance motives and ideas were written down as his technical skills and production improved. It became a starting point of the Strofaria project. Today Strofaria's music with its powerful meditative bass and bewitchingly kaleidoscopic melodies of the high energy twilight constantly progresses artistically and it aims to give its listeners an adrenalin-like psychedelic journey that's always enjoyable to dance to. Strofaria's live performances have already caused frank delight in public and have been referred to by some people as music "outside of time". Strofaria's debut track was released by Bhooteshwara Records on the "Weird Rites and Godless Revels" V/A compiled by Blisargon Demogorgon, and more releases followed. Today Strofaria is considered one of the freshest and most promising psytrance producers from Russia.
