The multimedia project Stumblefather (aka "O Pai do Tropeço" ) was born from a wild interest in integrating sound and image.
Based on a multiplicity of influences which range from avant-garde literature from the centuries XIX & XX (Edgar Allan Poe, Kafka, Herman Hesse), graphic design from the last 25 years, electroacoustic and electronic music (beyond other forms of sound experimentation), cinema (specially movies with an impact aesthetic, synchronized with the soundtrack), new medias, etc.
Counting on diverse collaborations throughout its brief history, it reached a point of matureness in production with its 5 years of existence.
The essence of the project is to evoke/stimulate diverse states of perception and conscience, what it is evidenced by the form as music and image are conceived, complementing each other, and both full of implied details.
The sound of the Stumblefather behaves as an intriguing soundtracky DIVERSITY of styles!
