Profile:
Suki Takahashi was a five-piece band who hailed from Minnesota. With Adam Linz on turntables, Huntley Miller on bass and keyboard, Jahn Marguiles on guitar and laptop, Rich Bologna on Keyboards, and Jt Bates on drums and programming.
Suki Takahashi exploded out of the LA club scene and onto the national stage in 1986. After years of paying their dues, the controversial glam electro cats, whose stage show was hailed by one critic "as the Sex Pistols meets Kiss on acid", could not be ignored. After years of fledgling concert attendance in LA, "Suki" made the decision of moving to Fridley, Minnesota. Combining streetwise, catchy songs which lead guitarist John Margulies called "the soundtrack to our lives" and a strong image, helped to make their 1986 independent debut single, "Underwater Cats" a Top 40 smash on KROC Monster Rock Radio in Fridley Mn.
