Svenska Akademien is a Swedish band that produces a crossbreed of Hip Hop, Ragga & Dancehall. The name of the band reflects their interest in the Swedish language because the real "Svenska Akademien" releases the most famous Swedish dictionary. The band was started in 2001 as a trio but after the debut album "Med Anledning Av" was released Leia Gärtner joined the band.
