Maurizio Martinucci (TeZ) is an italian multimedia designer and developer. Active as an electronic musician since early '90s, he is one half of M.S.B. / Most Signigicant Beat (togheter with Saverio Evangelista) and part of DoseZero (with Simone Carraresi). Since 1995 he directs a multimedia research laboratory (Sub) involved in audio-visual experimentations with digital media for interactive applications and artworks. He's always been interested in using technology as a means for exploring languages, especially the relationships between sound and images. In 1990 he attended a course for Computer Music Programmers with many of the best Italian specialists of electronic music and stages at the "Centro di Sonologia Computazionale" of the University of Padova, and at the "Tempo Reale" laboratory of Florence directed by Luciano Berio. After the course he started playing electronic music and released records with different projects. His live electronics performances have always included visual support released with different digital techniques. The TRIVID software, released by TeZ in its first version in August 2000, integrates most of the techniques and the creative experiences he has acquired in the last years. His work is now focusing on the different applications of the TRIVID software, including the PriMiTif sessions, VJing in clubs, video-scenographies, FilmWare and multimedia installations.
