"The Three Degrees" - is one of the most popular american group of mid 70s. Its performances had a great success not only in the USA, but in some other countries either, where this group were touring. The group used to take part in concert of such a musicians like Ringo Starr, Dean Martin, Shirley Bassey, Engelbert. It also frequently appeared on TV, which made "The Three Degrees" very famous among people of all ages.

The group was founded in 1963 in Philadelphia by producer Richard Barret, who wanted to create a group where each singer could be both a solo-singer and a part of a trio. After a long searching Barret made a trio of talented young singers Sheila Fergusson, Valerie Holiday and Helene Scott.

The performance of the group had always been very dynamic, melodic and artistic. The staff of the group had changed several times, but there had always been 3 of the singers. In 1973 the trio released their most successeful single - When Will I See You Again.

Twenty years later Thomas Anders' manager brought to him the sampler of hit with the idea of the new album title. Thomas always liked the song and thought of making a cover version. It was decided to hire the original singers of the song. The only problem was to find them anywhere in the USA. In 3 weeks they were found in Philadelphia and Atlanta.

So in April 1993 Thomas dropped the planned single "Stay A Little Longer" that he had recorded in LA in January and took a new cut of "When Will I See You Again" with the "Three Degrees" (consisting of Cynthia Garrison, Valerie Holiday & Helen Scott at that time). A one-time project grew up to further collaboration. Thomas gave them a new start providing 3 songs for their album "Out The Past Into The Future".

To 30-th anniversary of the song Erasure covered "When Will I See You Again" for their 2003 album "Other People Songs".
