These guys are absolute geniuses. I saw them at the Big Chill festival, 2006 and they blew me away. The sound of that synth is mind-blowing. I may have been under the influence of a variety of chemicals but we were all absolutely mesmerized - none of us had heard anything like it. The sound is ideal for drugs and these guys know EXACTLY what they're doing in that respect. 1971 and these guys decide to build a composite synth out of Moog III's and create this shit? WHAT? The thing's about 20 foot by 8 foot for God's sake. Aphex Twin eat your heart out. But it's not just the sheer technical creativity, it's the fact it's the guy who invented it that I saw playing it. There's only one in the world and this guy owns it. A shock of giant white hair - a true boffin if ever there was one. He really needed an expanding hairband. OK, I haven't said much useful stuff until now, but here it is ... that sound is very EXPANSIVE. Wash your mind with it in waves of waves. Honestly.
