Antonio Bacciocchi (aka Tony Face): drummer , journalist (www.radiocoop.it) and also writer , records producer , blogger (www.tonyface.blogspot.com) , musical events manager , radio DJ , and last but not least on of the prime movers of the Italian mod movement.
He was the drummer in the hardcore punk band Chelsea Hotel (1979/1983) and in Not Moving (one of the most important Italian punk and roll bands during the 80’s , they played hundreds of gigs in Italy and Europe , supporting Clash , J.Thunders, Celibate Rifles, Iggy & the Stooges and releasing two albums and many singles and e,p.’s).
He played in Lilith band (punk folk blues cabaret) from 1991 to 1998 they exhibited hundred of times all over Italy and Europe , releasing two album and many other records , supporting Tav Falco , Elliott Murphy and Afterhours)
Eventually they released two album and other records.
Drummer and percussionist with the hammondbeat band Link Quartet from 1993 to 2005 (three albums , two tours in USA and many many gigs all over Italy and Europe , London included , supporting James Taylor Quartet , Manu Chao , Brian Auger).
He also played with Hermits , Timepills , Statuto , Tav Falco and a lot of other bands.
Tony produced about 50 records and worked with Sony , Emi , Cecchi Gori Music , Ricordi , RAI , Mediaset , and founded the labels Face Records and Audiar Produzioni.
He also directed gigs of international artists like Manu Chao, Marc Ribot, Koop, Ivano Fossati, Kocani Orchestra, Solarflares, Moment, Rage, Direct Hits, CCM, Raw Power and tons of other Italian bands.
As Chef Manager he joined the crew of Tendenze Rock Festival for 10 editions , of multicultural festival Pulcheria for 5 years and of the world music festival Terra Madre twice.
He DJed for 10 years on Quarta Radio
Tony's first book has been realised on 14 may 2007 with the title “Out alive from the 80’s” .
The first solo album "Keep the faith" will be out soon featuring some mod hero from Italy and England.
