From an interview bit (on Overload) found in an internet search engine's cache:
Most of the productions on the User label are by Dean Cole, the earliest two or so by Dave Sumner (aka Function), NY. Richard Harvey was given so there could be a name tacked onto the appearances on Hawtin's Decks, EFX & 909, while Cole was trying to stay anonymous. The whole point of the User project was just club tools, and it seems the participants are satisfied with how irrelevant it is who made the music.
The relevant passages of the interview are by now deleted from the originator site while most of the rest is still up. There's probably a good reason for this, whether it is to keep up the secrecy or the above is just incorrect.
