Vinyl Junkie (John Woods) discovered rave culture in April 1989 when he went to Ibiza for what was originally suppose to be a two week holiday. He was immediately hooked on the club scene and this new type of dance music that he hadn’t ever encountered before. He returned to England in October a changed man. A week later he went to “Sunrise Vs Back to the Future” in an aircraft hangar at Santa Pod Racecourse, which totally blew him away. The next year and a half was spent partying and then John decided he wanted to be on the other side of the turntables. He learned very quickly heavily influenced by people like Fabio & Grooverider, Evil Eddie Richards, Simon “Bassline” Smith and Top Buzz.
The first gigs came at the beginning of 1991 at a night John promoted himself at a small club in the Shirehampton area of Bristol called "Fairways". These nights were always rammed and he soon picked up a good little local following.
By the start of 1997 he had played for lots of the countries most renowned promoters, including reappearance at the "Tribal Gathering" in 1997 and is still playing and producing today.
