Born in Milano on April 25, 1926; died February 4, 1992. Initially interested in poetry, theater and painting, Gelmetti devoted himself to music later. He started composing electronic music in the late 1950's and later on incorporated elements of this into music theater and instrumental works. Gelmetti is best known for his soundtracks to movies, TV and radio.
