Watain

Profile:
Watain's merciless Black Metal first came to life in 1998. The band's main objective was to create music which would scare away the 'wannabe fans' and only keep the 'true' ones into the genre. The band prefers not to 'show off' by giving it's band member's names or even any information regarding them at all.

"Go Fuck Your Jewish God", the band's first ever demo was recorded the same year they formed and was quickly followed by a live tape, "Black Metal Sacrifice". "The Essence of Black Purity", Watain's official debut EP was the following year and it started gaining the band some well-deserved attention. In an attempt to get a better record deal, the band released an anonymous demo tape in 2000, which allowed them to sign with a new record company and release "Rabid Death's Curse". A split with Diabolicum and yet another live tape, "The Ritual Macabre", appeared further into the band's career. "Casus Luciferi" followed in 2003.
