Dirty Bastard passed away in 2004, so the group is now down to eight members.
Some may still argue Cappadonna is a member of the group, but Wu-Tang Clan was always known as 'The Nine Generals', and that doesn't include him because it would bring the number of members to 10. What makes people think he is a member of Wu-Tang Clan, is the fact that he had his own photography alongside the other members' in the booklet of the group's third album, "The W". He actually rapped on two tracks of this album.
There are also a number of affiliated groups and artists, typically produced by The RZA, and other Wu-Tang producers such as 4th Disciple, True Master, and Allah Mathematics.
