Experimental noise pop group originally from California, now from Brooklyn, NY/Durham, NC. The current lineup is Jamie Stewart (the only constant member), Angela Seo, Zac Pennington & Sam Mickens.

wow a band hasen't gripped me like this since i heard snog. I don't speak out about may bands b/c there are soo many good ones out there to speak of but xiu xiu expells more passion than i can sometimes bear. The music is so unique as well. I dunno, i think xiu xiu has that pop-feel but it's so anti-popular whith it's squeeling noise blasts, unpredictable analog crashes and homoerotic lyrics. It's beautiful! every album that i find turns out to be more of what i crave.
