| Profile: | Yan Ots aka Pavel Stoyan. Originally from Russia, and is now living in Germany. Began producing in the middle of 1990’s. In 1999 Yan wins the first prize in the music competition in the international computer arts festival PARDOX. In 2004 Yan moved to Germany, where he met many great house producers from Hamburg: Syke 'n' Sugarstarr, DONS Productions, and Knee Deep. This acquaintance influenced his views on his musical predilection and he now turns completely to house music. His tracks differs with amazing positive energy, flavored with funky latin percussion and major disco tunes with a slightly soul touch. But the enigma of Yan Ots is his versatility. He succeeds in each style he produces – whether it is house music or drum n’bass or even trip-hop. Yan is also involved in the development of online netlabel Phubriq. |
