Yoji's productions have come a hell of a long way over the last year or so. Never End, Hardstyle Disco, his remix of Get Up,Get Down, Samurai and Rain are absolutely class works (every tune from Tales From The Big Room is worth a good listen) and he's now got his own sound, raw and absolutely banging. He is neither hardstyle, hard house or hard trance, but uses the best elements of the 3 and injects some major NRG. When he does use trancy riffs, they're like the calm before the storm, pure moments of adrenaline-making, spine-tingling joy to give you a rush before the beats come thundering back in and the madness ensues. Yoji is someone who demands respect and will never disappoint. Nothing has stopped him from rising towards the top of the DJ tree and this year he could well get the respect he deserves, tiesto isn't a patch on this guy.

Yoji Biomehanika is truly a man out of this world (in character and his flawless mixing). His productions are top-notch and his remixes are great, but where he really shines is his livesets. I have been listening to Yoji for quite some time now, and his style is constantly changing. Just recently, he has been playing some hardstyle tracks instead of hard trance/NRG from a year ago. Listen to X-Bass (Yoji B Remix), Hardstyle Disco, and The Rain. Three completely different styles, yet all with that distinct Yoji flavor. He is my favorite DJ and is truly an inspiration for Asians who hardly see their kind make it up the ranks. Go Yoji!!

As far as mixing talents go, Yoji's got a serious edge on most harder sound DJ's out there. I've heard a good number of Hi-NRG DJ's live, but no well-known DJ's i know of can progress and mix this well. His productions reflect an awesome, over-the-top Epic Hardstyle flavor that is both refreshing and at the same time, induces a wistful sense of nostalgia to those of us who remember the big rave music days of the late 90's.

Check out his mixed compilations. While his productions are all solid in their own right, his mixes are the elements that define the "Yoji" sound.

Can't wait to see this guy live!

Yoji rocks in many ways, I had heard the hype & heard the records - also live, Yoji is in a league of his own, not superior to tiesto-just very different. The hard japanese artists (i.e. sharpnel) have an anything goes attitude which is a breath of fresh air to the dance scene. Full of energy & contrasting sounds that make the crowds respond everytime! Hard, almost newstyle gabber in places, then progressive, rhythmic, highly emotional & melodic in others. A hardstyle rip of video liked the radiostar at global gathering is a prime example!

I wasn't big on hardstyle until I came across Yoji Biomehanika's Live at Dance Valley 02 CD... I was simply amazed at how infectious it was. The mixes were flawless and creative, using strategic beat juggling and scratching to keep things interesting. Yoji's a great showman, incredible dj, fantastic producer and remixer, and is one of the few djs who translates extremely well to CD.

Bang on, Yoji- you are the shit.

Yoji is one of my favorite producers and djs...he is brilliant..Almost all of his productions include some incredibly beautiful melody that just hits you. In addition to his prettier songs, he has remixed some real nasty tracks!
As for his mixing, he's just great. Very high energy and he uses some creative tricks as well.
I would love to see him spin live someday...meanwhile i'll just let my yoji-vinyl collection grow...
