ZAK FROST BIO >>>
Recently signed to Turbo Recordings and Gomma alongside his new partner Lazersonic, Zak Frost has been at the forefront of underground house and techno for the last decade.
He first came to light as a DJ through his residencies at various seminal club nights in the UK and across Europe, above all the infamous Nodisko parties in London where Zak played alongside the likes of Simian Mobile Disco, Claudio Coccoluto, The Glimmers and Brodinski. These have then led to countless guest slots at leading clubs and festivals in over thirty different countries; including Benicassim festival in Spain, Goa club in Rome and seven performances at Fabric in London.
Meanwhile Zak found time to release records for labels such as Dirt Crew Recordings and Moodmusic (as half of Drum Cult with John Askew) and Afro Art Records (as half of Frogsnatcher), as well as doing a DJ mix CD for Harmless Records and hosting a weekly global radio show for Ministry of Sound.
For the last year Zak has been focusing on his new production partnership with Lazersonic. Their debut track “Aquaplane” was signed by Tiga to Turbo Recordings (release date May 20th 2009) and also features on Turbo’s Omnidance double CD alongside Moby, Boys Noize and Proxy. Their second track “Thermionic” is now signed to Germany’s Gomma Records and a debut album will be ready by summer 2009.
Zak has also recently launched a brand new monthly radio show called “Adventures In Stereo” - available worldwide via Proton Radio in the USA.
