Praised by rising stars such as Tittsworth (Urb Next 100), this early collaborator with Flosstradamus member Autobot, DJ Zebo, is spreading the schizophrenic dance and hip hop genre bending style known as “Baltimore Club” through his touring, four Chicago residencies, strong production work and mixes. In 2007 his mix “My Style is Furious” was commissioned in conjunction with the Sparks company’s participation in the Detroit Electronic Music Festival and quickly found popularity through the influential Discobelle blog. In 2008 Zebo was selected by Urb Magazine and featured as one of the Next 100 artists.

Basing this review on the sole track "We Likes" on ses records what Zebo has seemed to do here is bridge the current and past-current Baltimore Breaks sound making it more accessible for the dancefloor and for the "breaks" scene. Sure anyone can sample "Funky Drummer" and loop it up with Slick Rick vocal samples but this "We Likes" track from 2007 has some really tasty bits going on in it. Basically it sounds like something Icey fans have been wanting for over a decade as it has many of the same ideas that went into those early Zone Records. Or better still, the Bonesbreaks chapters that were never written. People that know about DJ Technics/Rod Lee and Baltimore Breaks and then know about Switch/Diplo and that whole Fidget thing are making hits right now.
The next logical step would be adding Dub Techno & mnml and this is the direction I believe these guys are headed.
