Born 1978 in Barcelona._active aka Ivan Vilches very young starts playing his first instrument...flute and listening music with Depeche mode, Kraftwerk, Front242, Nitzer ebb, Split second, Pink Floyd, Miles Davis.....and begin his music culture. Prematurely starts with electronic music...take strong influence with detroit scene with people like Carl Craig, Derrick May, Kenny Larkin, Theo Parrish, Dan Bell, Moodymann...and acid house. He was captivated for this music. At the age of 19 he decides to buy two turntables and to invests his money in vinyls struggling to get a spot at friends parties or little events. In Barcelona with Sideral in first Nitsa club start his career as a dj....and with many friends ....In 1999 travelled to Ibiza... was an important influence with Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin and Ricardo Villalobos.....making many aftersparties... incredibles places in the magic island, playing in Privilege, PinUp, Grial, Templo,... Ivan also start using some sotf and hardware for musical compositions. In this moment his sets starting to take more like a minimal and acid flavour... Electronic music had so far been exiciting pastime and turning into an incredible vocation. In 2001 play in Santiago de Chile ....Tantra club, La Feria, Sarita Colonia, Dominika....and Buenos Aires...Club Morocco....Brasil tour 2007...Sao paulo, Curitiva, Florianapolis....Also play in many places around Spain_ BeCool, Sidecar, Rachdingue, Zoom, City Hall, Snowlounge,club beatz, Nature, Spirit, Uff festival...etc....In this days his live and dj sets are a surprise, with diferents styles arround jazz, electro, detroit, downtempo, minimal,dub, techno....and had begun his own sound. Soon performed his first live acts and is also developing his own label....Pong musiq ...Also is the manager and the owner of Limbo bar, with different artists every week...where he is the resident There´s no doubt that _active is here to stay and keep bringing new sounds to people who loves good music all around the globe.
