Jerome was born somewhere near Namur and raised somewhere near Mons. He was given his first guitar at the age of 11 and never really looked back since. He followed the well treaded path of playing in a couple of bands, moving to the big city, playing in a couple of more bands, doing a few gigs, so on. In 2002 Jerome launched his solo project, called aMute, as a compromise between his passion for the genre coined as "post rock", with its traditionally sad melodies, and his taste for all glitches great and small. Jerome gave birth to aMute with the aim of releasing some tunes, playing out some and messing about with mates, and that's exactly what he does, despite an attitude problem, which he treats with large amounts of our native special brew. In 2005, Jean_Francois and Stephane joined the aMute project, on the violin and the drums respectively.
