Some friends of mine just released their first album on their own label: Psyknights - A Faint Light From The Depth. IMHO it's a great album, with a very unique style. You can listen to samples on the label's website: http://www.electronic-dope.com It's possible to order the CD directly through the label's homepage, through Beatspace, Saikosounds, and PsyBuy. Oh yes, and I'm also featured on one of the tracks... ;) Cheers! inexpressible edited this message over 3 years ago. inexpressible wrote:

Opening the compilation with a beautiful atmospheric track… -Nada’s (Abakus & Humph) Earthgarden track is a real classic, here given new life by French artist Jong, who is also doing remixing for Toires these days+ several tracks for various labels. -Adham Shaikh is our master in relaxed tribal music, here with another masterpiece influenced by sanskrit mantra. -Digitalis aka Seb Taylor aka Shakta aka Kaya Project aka Angel Tears etc needs no introduction. Here we get another beautiful track by this pioneer. -Jong (Jonathan Garnier) is a fresh artist fron Paris, France who blew us away with his demo arriving the Chill Tribe Records office. His tracks will also be seen on Liquid Sound Design and Hoots Recordings etc. in the near future, aswell as remixes of Toires etc. He has mostly been producing music for TV series and TV commercials, but is finally showing his talent for the music listeners. -Makyo running Dakini Records in Japan does it the relaxed, tribal way as always, here with a fantastic sensual mix of his Nothing Is Real track. -Solar Quest from the UK is another pioneer we are very happy to welcome on this compilation. Abomination & “Josh” from Outer Signal, talented artists from Israel bring us this new tune with flow synths and a unique vibe that creates psychedelic chaos on any dance floor. Absolutely not! Some albums and compilations sell new & sealed for $1->6 on the amercan ebay. Cwithe Metal Spark Acid Rockers JR's Bible of Dreams and Shango come in mind right now + most compilations it released between 1998 - 2000. Bizarre, considering Transmissions was done in "commercial" quantities & AO surely much limited. 5 years ago this collection frenzy had not started yet also. But AO has 3 Pleiadians tracks, + 2 Transwave tracks so if that is not enough to make it ultra wanted I don't know what it can be. I have a CDr of AO only and is a remarkable compilation considering it's 1995. psypras wrote:

Sometimes that's a selling technique. You list a (in this case) CD for the price of a car so that you attract attention. AnoebisThis may be musical promotional spam, but it certainly has to do with "old school" goa trance as many "old" groups are featured here... Anyway, Suntrip can finally present our next cd called Sundrops - Light in Motion that will be released around the middle of november! :) This compilation could be described as pure morning goa trance. Have a look at the tracklist and see some suprises... Expect a track from California Sunshine in the Nasha style, from Virtuart in the style of his Underhead alter ego, and Chi-ad made a deep hypnotic melodic track specially for this compilation as well... From Aerosis and Artifact most know what to expect :) Antares is a great Belgian talent and Ra gave us more emotional goa trance, Filteria finishes the compilation with a downtempo track :) 01. Chi-a.d. – Sight of the Sages (UK) 02. California Sunshine – Oblivion (Israel) 03. Virtuart & Chronomyst – Zanchin (France) 04. Aerosis – Lunar Effect (USA) 05. Artifact303 – Energy Waves (Positive Mix) (Romenia) 06. Antares – Aurora (Belgium) 07. Ra – Gateway (Norway) 08. The Phonokol CD/file shop is open. I'm not generally a big fan of digital downloads due to frivolous EULAs, privacy, format issues, files losing their resale value etc. Anyway, this one was quite nice. You can get sold-out classic albums in plain wav (or mp3) format for $8 (about 6e). No registration, just a "buy" button redirecting you to PayPal. That's all. If they all were this simple, I'd probably like download shops much more. My only complaint would be some flash decoration hogging immense amounts of CPU power, which brings my old computer to its knees on some pages. The buying itself is smooth and easy, though. Maybe you'll find something Nice too... http://www.phonokolshop.com/ (I have no connection whatsoever to the shop or label. I'm just posting some news.) Ekto-Basilisk wrote:

You will never ever be able to buy a cd from me, consider this definitive. "Unplayed, totally mint, ultra rare gem low price!!1!" if you refer to what written in his profile: "If you want to trade CDrs (high quality rips), contact me. (PS - Don't ask for rare/unreleased stuff unless you have some to share in return.)" i see he wants to trade copies, as far as i can understand, or trade unreleased music. but anyway, it seems to me that he bought it to resell it, plain and simple as he understood it had potential confectionist value. I wait his explanation sometimes soon eiko wrote:
HAHA I listed it as a joke clearly (nobody would buy that, plus: "Unplayed, totally mint, ultra rare gem low price!!1!" (notice it is exaggerated & !!1! = surely joking)), chill out, it's just mocking how a couple others do that for all CDs to a lower amount.

My copy is actually played anyways. ;) And I told you I didn't really care if I got a limited one and you could sell it to someone else if they were going to pay you more for it or something. Joking is fine but you have established a history of trolling and other immature behaviour here and elsewhere. This is quite clear in your response to draeke, which ranged from a defence of your actions to something totally inflammatory (that you already downloaded it in lossless quality anyhow). Don't complain if people call it like they see it.

Don't complain if people call it like they see it. And my response is an explanation that it was a joke -- something which is quite clear to me but I am from a different continent and generation than him so it might not be clear to him. I also point out that I bought it to support him since he posted something to the effect of me only buying things to rip them and then sell them for a higher price. This is not true as -- FACT -- I downloaded it before I even paid him for it. I see nothing inflammatory about that and I don't see what your problem with it is as you're the guy out there wanting artists to release their music for free in lossless quality anyways. draeke wrote:
Well I might not get your @sense of humor@ but, i only reported what it happened, we had the conversations, you were so and so about buying, you finally did buy and then you placed it for sale, where is the joke? and i bet that, if someone clicks buy, you'd be more than happy to serve him for that price, am i wrong?

IF, it was a joke you could have very well placed, let's say 6000 eur? that would have had the sense of a joke to me. But ok, you may be younger than me (no idea how old you are) but i am sure you perfectly understand my point, i didn't flame war you for no reasons or called you any bad word, i just reported what seemed to me. In any case, you are of course free to sell my cd for any price you want, it just felt sad u bought it to resell (or that is what appeared to me). case closed and let's go on speaking of good music. PS: don't accuse Basilisk about pushing free music, that is NOT his point at all. He offers a HOSTING website that is a portal for new artists, to let them expose their music for free IF THEY WANT, i don't really see or hear about Basilisk messaging around people begging them to offer music for free :). If you downloaded a lossless copy of my album you did it illegally of course, that is your choice and i am not here to judge you, far from me. inexpressible wrote:
I don't get this kind of humour either. Could be because I'm German. We don't have a sense of humour at all.
