Underground jazz heavyweights Schema Records no doubt need no introduction,with jazz, bossa nova, brazilian and nu-jazz flavours from artists such as Nicola Conte, Soulstance, Rosalia De Souza, and S-Tone Inc just to name a few. Big Sur takes the Schema sound and evolves it for more dancefloor friendly beats. No doubt the Salvo Somebody EP is remembered from a good few left of center dancefloors.

Milano 2000 is Ishtar's more experimental label, concentrating on putting out compilations that explore new sounds and ideas. Quite a few artists from Schema put out material originally on Milano 2000, such as The Dining Rooms and S-Tone Inc.

Sensible Records is home to a wide selection of ethnic jazz sounds from around the world.
