You can submit a track if you want - just post a link. Whichever track gets the most votes will be the one we all remix. The composer of the chosen track then supplies and uncomressed WAV or AIFF of their track and a zip file with a few choice samples/loops. This will be uploaded to the ISIGTUTEOT web space so we can all d/l.

I found the vocoder sample to be the most interesting, and immediatly it stood out as something I could toy with. So, I took that and turned it into the main melody. It sounds completly different from the original, so don't be expecting breaks on this one. I didn't just use the vocoder sample, all of the samples are actually in this track but it may be hard to tell for many of them. I used them all for a specific purpose.

I would like to call this some sort of Techno, but I don't really know what. I think it's like a cross between minimal and glitch. I wasn't really inspired by anything or anyone, but after I took a few listens I came to the conclusion that it sounded something like Afuken.

My most important tool was the Slicer in FL Studio 4, which is what I use.

Aha, I was hoping that there would be at least one remix that sounded like a remix, which this does. I know my remix will not sound too much like a remix. My first attempt went way too far off track. Anyway, I like it, it does all the right things to be a good track, nice arrangement, nice groove.

I think production wise... is it a little loud? The kick on the on-beat I think is overdriving the fader, making the cymbal sound a little distorted. Maybe you were going for that, not sure, but it seems like for the tempo and style, maybe you weren't intending that. I think some of the kicks in the loop are a tad overdriven. Other than that, the highs seem to be clear, nice definition on the other parts, nice panning effects here and there give it some spatial dimemsion left and right. The delayed synth you introduce later in the track and the 16th note acid line following the bass give it some original personality. Maybe even some more elements to take it out of the realm of the original would be interesting, even just to learn more of your taste.

Not really much to complain about, just a safe, tidy remix. Good work.
