Full artwork labels Inner paper covers inside a thicker Outer cover (maybe stickered) The conditions of this pressing are............. 100 pre-orders must be taken before its goes to press, so it up to you if it happens! any orders taken and the pressing doesn't reach this number will be fully refunded Please list your order like this on your paypal payment.... B2VOS Username: Real name & address: Cat Number: 9T2R 003 Quantity of copies: Paypal Address......... elusive1990@hotmail.com Prices with postage UK price would be: £20+ £3.35 postage (1st Class recorded) = £23.35 (plus £1.00p per extra copy) European price would be: £20 + £4.50 postage (regular airmail) = £24.50 (plus £1.00p per extra copy) or £20 + £7.00 postage (International Signed For) = £27.00 (plus £1.00 per extra copy) USA price would be £20 + £5.00 postage (regular airmail) = £25.00 (plus £1.00p per extra copy) or £20 + £8.25 postage (International Signed For) = £28.25 (plus £1.00p per extra copy) Yes i know this is an expensive one, but i can't do it any cheaper than this with the pressing costs & paying an artist (i'm paying the artist alot of money for this repress) I think its worth the money personally, when one of the original EP's would cost you £20 alone! If this goes well there is a Spirit of Space Remix EP available and some other unreleased tunes Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Elusive1990 edited this message 3 months ago. I really want just the track Dance In Eden, been rocking my head since i discovered it. Would pay £75 for the original if its the only option, so about £25 for this new double is cool. We have to pay in advance. Hmm. It will make people naturally wary. 100 people, i would love to think 100 people want it, i do, and i know a handful of others (well, 16 people have wantlisted it already). Thing is, i am impressed that the original artist is in on it, though they wouldnt not get any money at all if this doesnt go through, so asking a steep price is well, so-so. First time anything like this has really be done, but i admire the work put into it. I am currently not able to pay the money, as i am buying the DS93 release this month (poor, but i keep buying vinyl ;)), but hope that this goes ahead.

its gonna cost at least £1200-1500 to press as its a double pack the artist has to get paid, i have to pay for a license before i can even sell it after paypal fees i won't be seeing much, so i think the price is fair IMO Your getting 3 of the original EPs for £20 looking at the discogs prices on all the eps that make up this double pack will cost you a least £100 to get spirit of space ep & original dance in eden Doing pre-orders is the only way i can do this, as i already put big money into previous represses that are yet to break even RenegadeGenius wrote:

Firstly - as said - £20 is not a steep price when u see the costs involved - Elusive is doing this to get the artist some well deserved money after other people flog the ep for high money on here and ebay (where the artist gets none) - it's certainly not done to get Elusive a load of money. Also it's not the first time this has been done - there have been around 3 other eps which have been done the pre-order route. If dealing with a newbie, fair enough, but Elusives pretty well know now - on ebay / b2vos etc, so shouldn't be any problems with regard to that. Over a third have already been pre-ordered - and thats since yesterday - if u miss out, then u miss out ;) goemon wrote:

Now really, what more can you ask for!? 20 quids for that!! Think about it, for that price you could buy one side of the original Spirit of Space EP and that's if you're lucky, here you get another 2 quality and highly sought after releases chucked in as a bonus. Bargain of the year if you ask me. As RG said, if you miss out, then you miss out! TEKNONUTTER wrote:

"Thing is, i am impressed that the original artist is in on it, though they wouldnt get any money at all if this doesnt go through, so asking a steep price is well, so-so." . It refered to the artist not the price of the vinyl. I respect the artist, and think the project is a great idea. I love dance in eden, and for that alone want to give money to the artist. I already wantlisted the proposed double yesterday. I was merely considering wether enough people would commit to it since it was more expensive. When I have the money (hopefully soon enough) I can paypal you. I was a bit confused when I was reading this thread, since I am for the idea, but didn't think there would be enough people willing to pre order. Also I am not on the b2vos forums so don't know elusive that well, and did not know about previous EP's. I just meant the first time it had been done on discogs afaik. This is kind of like a dream come true, so didn't mean to annoy so many people, my post must have been easy to misread. I never actually said it was expensive, i said in comparison to £75 for one of the ep's, it was really cool. TheOneDelay wrote:

They would still want an original, plus having a repress would possibly bring the price of originals down making them a little more affordable. The only people it may annoy are those wanting to sell copies for vast profit. Elusive1990 wrote:

i don't think i've seen a more pathetic argument against represses in all my time on the net i like original pressings too & represses don't bother me one bit MP3 releases will just get shared on soulseek & the artist won't see a penny unlike this release that the artist will se some money for TEKNONUTTER wrote:
My argument was I wouldn't pay 90 quid for an original copy, that's ridiculous, as there's much better & rarer stuff out there for less IMO. I don't think 20 pound for a doublepack is unreasonable though.

And people are entitled to bitch, they're the ones who are forking out the bucks, & it's a free country to bitch in the UK anyway. Forget about all that. Is there a way of paying without paypal? Ref the paypal thing - providing you're both happy with this, I'm quite happy to Paypal Elusive the money if u send a cheque to me for the amount needed. I'd have to make sure the cheque banked ok first though (which takes about 6 days after I put it in) - would then paypal Elusive. If both of u are happy with that, let me know - don't mind doing this as a one off, but don't want everyone asking me to do it :) PS - u don't need to join b2vos - its just another forum - bit like this one. PPS - if u wanna check if I'm reliable : auto-converted long url dokie23 wrote:

I did`t mean it to come across as just having a dig at you it was the overall argument against the repressing of any record...... anyway you could`nt have been that unhappy with the condition of any tunes you`ve bought off me as you would have left neg feedback and as i don`t have any your snipe dos`nt add up. Like when adsr posted that super fantastic mix by james bernard. What I am talking about is preorders on vinyl additions. Get used to it and peops to elusive1990 for making that happen on a track he wished and others to see repressed. I have no problem paying a higher than new amount for a proper repress. Somewhat higher that is. Not double. It kind of bugs and kills the scene when people put something for sale and someone comes and says "I got it for 7 bucks in 1995". So? Like elusive said, you are entitled to your own bad attitude. |
