House/Electronic 89-91 - Sampled JM Silk - Music Is The Key (YouTube)

Thanks everyone for reading this!

The track ID that I need is one that was used to be mixed with Beverlee - Set Me Free. I remember that it does not have a vocal, only a sample that says something like 'got get a key to set yourself free' and the sound of a crowd sometimes. It is electronic/house, and incredibly good!

Thanks again for the great help that all of you provide here!

Just discovered that the vocal sample says:

"Music is the key to set yourself free"

And the vocal sample is from:
J.M. Silk - Music Is The Key

The vocal sample can be heard at 3:38 of this video:

Any help would be really appreciated!

maybe u're distracted by the mix but from 9:54 to 10:38 u can hear it untouched (without any other tune mixed in it).
the whole tune is quite minimal, as a lot of chicago tunes were around that time; drums and percussion, a synthloop/sequence, and a vocal sample here 'n there..
(there's no crowd-sample in my version tho)
anyhow, if u recognize the simple synthloop, then im pretty sure this is the version u're after

i saw one other release that has The Key on it
TC Crew - Going All Out (DJ 1043) 1992. a DJ International compilation of Tyree Cooper tunes.
i have a low bitrate mp3 of it which i can send u if u send me your emailadress

for the rest u'll have to Google/Discogs/Ebay it
good luck.

I've heard it, the one I'm looking its not minimal... And the crowd sound was there, I'm pretty sure.

My email is david.lynch(at)ibest.com.br

That's not it :(

The sample that says "music is the key to set yourself free" was cleaner.

Maybe the other versions on the single? And the other release, Bak From The Underground?

Thanks again!

Just listened to TC Crew - Give it up everybody (from Going All Out compilation) and it has some crowd sample.

Maybe other track from TC Crew is the one that I'm looking for.

You said that there is no crowd sample in your version, so if all tracks does not have it, it's propably the wrong artist...

And it was not minimal, was amazing!
