This guy was ina group called Seventh Wave, a pretty dismal Glam/Electronic Rock group- I did pick up the keyboard players only solo album & I have to say anyone into the synthy/new wave end of disco really needs to hears this. I really cannot describe the music, HI-NRG/Italo-Esque in places but with a touch of ELO in there too....Anyone else know this? If nor please check it out. Amazing & very unique.

Now I wonder if it's the same Ken Elliott that play keys on all these Rocksteady and Reggae release⦠If not so that profile and release data should be urgently corrected. Bissia edited this message about 1 month ago. downtown.music wrote:
Stranger things have happened than Reggae musicians working in completely different styles of music... In the course of submitting releases in the past I discovered that Dennis Bovell has produced at least one "Cheesey Gay Disco" flavored UK 12" release.

I can't provide the specific release number right now 'cuz the record in question is in my discogs store, which is "closed for renovation". When I reopen the store I suppose there will be a little icon next to the record in question on the Dennis Bovell artist page. Bissia wrote:
yep I see your point but you disgress a bit here... the thing on topic is that it seams not to be the same Ken Elliott doing Synth Pop records zith Seventh Wave then appearing on many Reggae records, can someone look into that?

like downtown said, strangest things have happened than reggae musicians working in completely different styles of music. Ken Elliott even being namechecked as a keyboard wizzard, pioneering sci-fi themed, electro reggae over here julesparis edited this message about 1 month ago. Bissia wrote:

so Colonel Elliott & The Lunatics should list Ken Elliott as band member, what about Ken Elliot, wrong spelling or ANV? Reply to this topic? |
