Decided to post this again. I'd still like to know if any of the Syntheme stuff is Louise This Goon album is basically called Syntheme Global Goon - Saint Aime and maybe was going to be under than name at the start. http://www.colintaylor.com/syntheme.htm then there is the clue in this Syntheme - Lov3 and the fact that most of the tracks were previewed years beforehand by Goon under the name Aunt Acid. When i heard Global Goon Live at the Plex/Rephlex night most of his set was Syntheme tracks. its good stuff though whoever it is, but im sure its Goon. Can anyone shed any more light? Syntheme - Vol. 1 Zubeldia wrote:
^^couldn't really tell, since I only own one Syntheme record (Vol. 1), and one Global Goon record (10" on Weme). Haven't listened to that Vol. 1 for a long time so can't remember how it sounds exactly. Discogs' Syntheme profile page "clears it up"? mwah...

Rude 66 - De Machine Des Duivels. I heard this is going to be repressed as well, along with another 'older' legowelt release. Zubeldia edited this message 3 months ago. 23rd_Precinct wrote:
Me and paulo_m went to hear her DJ at Inner City Acid in Glesga a few months ago. We had this discussion before arriving.
My opinion was "There's no way a 22year old girl with pink in her her and cute trainers can be producing tracks which are so well produced unless she's been doing it since she was 5years old" Paul thought maybe she does. Turns out she couldn't use the Ableton or Tractor (or whatever) it was and even something as simple as a midi controller. Watching her struggle with that was confirmation enough. She didn't play one single Syntheme track either. IMO she's just a pretty face face to go with the nice tunes. neurp wrote:
You can hear the Goon and the Syntheme stuff is produced by the same person.

23rd_PrecinctMy opinion was "There's no way a 22year old girl with pink in her her and cute trainers can be producing tracks which are so well produced unless she's been doing it since she was 5years old" She's 25 now. Honestly, Syntheme was my heroine for a quick minute. (got into her after her Bloc '07 DJ set which was wicked) Honestly I think Lasers N Shit could be the best full length acid-esque release EVAR. Ain't a real 303 though and certain I'm partial due to her being a girl and all. After checking out all her records and not really getting heavy into Global Goon until after the fact, I became quite bummed. No way Syntheme's shit isn't Global Goon! Neurp, I am excited to research your spotting of clues for myself...... neurpthen there is the clue in this Syntheme - Lov3 and the fact that most of the tracks were previewed years beforehand by Goon under the name Aunt Acid. BTW, Lasers N Shit came out a couple days before my trip over for Bloc and it wasn't to come out in the States for a few more weeks after that. When I flew in to the UK, I went drop off my bags at my hotel and then straight away to Penny Lane to grab that CD! Had that shit on repeat all night and was so blown away by it that I barely slept. Apart from going out, it was basically the soundtrack for my entire trip. It's all I played on my ipod apart from Ceephax. ;)

i was kinda dissapointed with lasers n shit , but on vinyl it only has 8 tracks and a few are not as good as the eps and then the awful Scotch Paper. the album on cd has most of vols 1-3 included too so i can see why you couldnt stop listening. AFXFANTASAY wrote:

nutter! hows the sound on that? also its looks like its the same length as the ep is that right? was having a bit of a mills mix Jeff Mills - The Extremist Jeff Mills - Force Universelle EP Jeff Mills - Kat Moda EP Jeff Mills - The Drummer shame the sound is so bad on here, some really good drum machine work, but its useless, i dont know why he didnt release the recording direct from the mixer, who wants crowd noises on vinyl? it sounds like a bad mp3 recording from the crowd. Zubeldia wrote:
neurpnutter! hows the sound on that? also its looks like its the same length as the ep is that right? yeah, should be exactly the same track/version. but first thing I notice is that the bassdrum on the compilation is a bit louder and deeper. the bassdrum on the 6 track EP sounds more flat and hollow and sounds like it has a bit more reverb to it. but I don't have the EP with me at the moment, so it's kind of a guess atm. sounds phat anyhow ;) which release? drummer? didn't notice that on our store copies. on the deck: Fanon Flowers - Acid Kush neurp wrote:
