weird question, but does anyone know of anywhere that prints small runs of self-adhesive centerlabels? full color of course.

Does such a thing exist? ALSO: is there any place that'll do a run of test-pressings but without the normal run? I wanna do a really limited number of 12"s in a bit, and I don't really want them to be dubplates, ya know? I know some places will do like 30 test pressings for around $80. Which is perfect for what I wanna do actually, but I dunno if I can get JUST the test pressings. I plan on just getting some plain sleeves and silkscreening the artwork on 'em. BUT I want nice color labels, so I'd like to find a place that prints self-adhesive ones. Christopher_Jion edited this message 2 months ago. rile3e wrote:

Few others but should be able to get any site like that's PDF and sort it out from there. They're all the size dimensions (well pretty much) Christopher_Jion wrote:

and they dont have the 12" centerlabel template in PDF. hmmm... and I don't see anything on there about the just ordering self-adhesive labels. I may have missed it of course. Christopher_Jion edited this message 2 months ago. O.S.Dvil wrote:
I thought I had a page saved, but it was probably on another computer. You seem to be doing a lot these last couple months. Is this all you? What's the skinny on this limited release your pressing?

O.S.DvilYou seem to be doing a lot these last couple months. Is this all you? What's the skinny on this limited release your pressing? Yep, all me. I have so much music that's gone unreleased over the last decade and I wanna do something with it. I just spent the last of my savings on manufacturing Brain Geodes. But I plan on selling some guns and my motorcycle soon. and I've wanted to do this 12" for a few years now, but it's hard enough for me to move CDs. PLUS i have no room left to store all this shit. So if I can do a test-pressing-only run of like 30 records and custom hand-make the artwork. That'll be perfect. O.S.Dvil wrote:
So 30. Out of 500 or so regular pressings is this your more-or-less typical sales number? More than anything, sounds like you need a local distributor dude. I'll do my part when I'm able to.

Brain Geodes. That's a nice looking disc. Simple. The skull would look better if I was able to see it in higher quality. All in all good, clean graphics man. What I wanted to know earlier was how you would describe the music. Oh, I did find one place for you that sells'em: http://www.vinylcarvers.com/store/products.php?cat=35 ... and you'll even have enough left over for the next test press too! SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETT! =P Christopher_Jion wrote:
hmm.... downtempo I guess?? this 12" would be my "Presence" tracks. http://www.myspace.com/christopherjion O.S.DvilSo 30. I've tried contacting some distributors, but none of them get back to me. And 90% of the cool underground/electronic record shops in my area have shut down. And to mail records or even CDs to DHR in Germany/UK for them to sell on their site costs me so much that it's not worth it. The cost of shipping cancels out the $$$ I'd make on them selling the stuff. Christopher_Jion wrote:
I've searched all over the damned place online and everything ends up being so fucking expensive. How the fuck do noise guys release records in editions of like 40?! what the shit?

I mean, dubplates end up costing as much as having stampers made and shit. So it evens out. Christopher_Jion edited this message 2 months ago. cinquante_neuf wrote:

this seems very do-able now. can ya link me to any records on discogs they've cut so I can get a look at how they turn out? How do they sound??? Christopher_Jion edited this message 2 months ago. Christopher_Jion wrote:
I wanna custom silkscreen the sleeves... but I'd kind of prefer to use brown cardboard sleeves (rough, no coating) so the inks will actually hold but http://www.squaredealonline.com only seems to have regular white ones.

Anyone have a link to good shops with all kinds of blank sleeves? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm for some reason in a mega-productive mood lately and I wanna get shit done while the ideas are fresh. cinquante_neuf wrote:
