I know tomorrow in Montreal Scion is playing at a commemorative party, but what's going on in Berlin tomorrow? as a side note, I always found interesting the german techno scene from when the wall came down.. I think it's an important chapter of the techno-culture. berb wrote:

Ca. 8.40 pm Finale: Paul van Dyk presents the hymn "We are One". Fall of the last domino in the presence of everyone involved and the guests of honour at the Brandenburg Gate. NOT exactly the highlight. Anita_Schmetterling edited this message 20 days ago. moshka-medicine wrote:

Whatever, I welcome Halloween here. That's a bit different, historically. Like, I welcome Mayday to the US, but not the day of German Unity.

Although I totally concede that Halloween is bullshit, I like candy and costumes, so y'all can kiss my big, sugary ass. DeathDisco wrote:
berb => "Computer Karriere" is, objectively, very corny and fm-orientated, as Puhdys seems to be anyway. But I confess there are a few EBM-inspired dancable tracks on it, however kitsch those ones can be... Didn't know it was from East Germany though.

Every year I post on here about Hallowe'en and you lot still haven't learned. And I've never been anywhere else for Hallowe'en except Ireland but it hasn't really changed much, except more kids buy costumes instead of make them themselves and instead of lots of nuts and fruit they get sweets. All the other traditions we've always had here, so I'm not sure how it's fairly American. I'm sure some nations only heard about it via America but that's not the same as it being American.

David Hasselhoff's and a spun a half hour while the wall came down, I'd be as big as Tiesto. Since nobody ever heard of Tiesto at the time, I declined. They did provide fine consolation prizes like naming the first couple of Love Parades after my tracks in 1990 & 1991, but nobody remembers that because only 150 people showed up. My brother bought me a nice Bratwurst in June, though.... djfrankiebones wrote:

We happened to be mixing it down in November 89. When I said it might be better if he sung "Bring Down the Walls" they thought I was playing silly games because I had nothing to do with that song and Germans don't understand English. djfrankiebones wrote:
