First European To Rap On Dance Music Track?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...VPM8&feature=related

Modern Romance? This also might be the first actual remix being a dub from "Can You Move" which starts @ 2:40.

1981 is a long time ago. Even though they mimic early hip hop pioneers Sugarhill Gang, the results were quite good, considering.

Did it have a dub?

I don't believe anything had a dub before 1982.

It seems that this young little fellow from The Netherlands might have been an early bird. An interpretation of Joe Bataans rap-o-clap-o in the dutch lingo.

In regard to the dub subject I'm thinking of the Sticksman dub from Black Slate

http://www.discogs.com/Black-S...-Man/release/1315215

record from 1976

I like the 70's and early 80's dub quite a lot. Kind of getting lost in sound, my pre-house experience I think.

That was pretty sly of you Robbie, LOL.

Let's now return to the application of the "Dub Mix" and attach it to Dance Music in the wake of Disco's death in early 1980.

First Dance Music which had dub mixes? Yazoo, Soulsonic Force....

Anything before April 1982? Possible, but not likely.

Excellent in fact I kind of remember that...

Somehow I thought of Blondie "Rapture"...no reason why though...

I guess because the whole Graffiti/Breakdance thing was part of the early European scene.
