The Moderator - "Reversed Evolution" (Eevo Lute Muzique) 12" - Nice new EP from Eevo. A couple of tracks are a bit too nice for me, in fact, but the others are pretty cool. Some serious 808 bass throughout.

Dynarec - "Legendary Days" (Kondi) 12" - sick, sick, sick!!!

Domu / Stacey Pullen - "The Electric Institute Sampler" (Regal Recordings) 12" - managed to grab the last 2 copies that Smallfish had. Unfortunately the whole box must have been dropped as the top edge of the sleeves had been cut through by the vinyl, but with only 500 of these floating about it was now or never. Good melodic jazzy techno.

Voltaic - "EP1" (Point.One Recordings) 12" - I take back my Udyne/Drex clone comments that I made on listening to the clips of this, as it's not really much like them when heard properly. Good stuffs.

Tangible - "Gameover" (Point.One Recordings) 12" - In the same vein as his Pi Gao release, nice quirky electro/techno.

Cristian Vogel - "Station 55" (NovaMute) 2x12"
Cristian Vogel - "1968.Holes" (NovaMute) 12" - recent releases from CV. Difficult to define what it's like, but there's definitely a techno edge to most of it. Nice to hear it with some bass after checking it out on mp3 for a while. Gutted that the intro track from the CD never made it to vinyl.

v/a - "Planet Delsin - Interstellar Sounds of Stardust" (Delsin) 2x12" - Checked it out in Smallfish and have to say I was not convinced, but I bought it on the assumption that it was going to be a grower, given all the good things said about it. We'll see.

I've sort off come out of a long period of only buying old/second-hand stuff and realised that, yes, there is good music out there. By shopping at juno I seem to avoid wanky record stores where you're just treated to a hard-sell by staff, but where they might pull out 30+ records for me and I only like about 1.

Mike Perras / Phuture - "DJ Hell Presents My Definition Of House Part 2" (International Deejay Gigolo) 12" - I really object to the fact that Hell chose to have his own name emblazoned with a specially designed and credited DJ Hell logo in big letters on both the sleeve and centre labels of this release.....which doesn't have any of his music on it. What it does have is a mighty fine deep house/techno track from Perras and a fairly Basic Channel sounding tune from Phuture, with typically twee lyrics. Not too sure about the Phuture track, it's all a big prog house really, but the Perras track is great.

Jamie Read - "The End Of The Beginning" (Fragmented Records) 3x12" - lovely stuff and not surprising considering it was produced at the 10th Planet studios with more than a bit of help from Insync vs. Mysteron by the sound of it.

Pole - "Raum Eins / Raum Zwei" (DIN) 12" - deep crackly electronic dub with some nice farty noises and stereo effects.

Nimoy / I-F - "Space Toilet" (Disko B) 12" - lo-fi analogue techno/electro stuffs with a shouty co-production with I-F.

Rude 66 - "B-day" (Djax-Up-Beats) 12" - acidy electro/techno.

unknown artist - "Electrik Bugg Vol.1" (Electrik Bugg Records) 12"
unknown artist - "Electrik Bugg Vol.2" (Electrik Bugg Records) 12" - a couple of releases on this new Crawley-based label. Deep techno for the main track on each 12", accompanied by some synthy broken beat-ish and electro tracks.

Mike Ink - "Paroles" (Warp) 2x12"- mad old punchy fast acid breakbeat Mike Ink track with remixes from himself, Autechre and someone else.

Floorplan - "Doin My Thing" (Drama) 12" - closing off my quest to have all the releases on Mr Hood's labels Drama, Duet and M-Plant, this is the last one that eluded me. TBH it didn't sound that great though when I flicked through it last night. 4 versions of the same track, with heavy use of slightly out of sync vocal samples. Need to listen through a few times.

Skream - "Acid People" (Big Apple Records) 12" - bass heavy dubstep on John Kennedy's label.

Steve O'Sullivan - "Quatre" (Green/As It Is) 12" - off kilter analogue techno with unusual timings.
