What a result! I've never come across anything as near enough interesting as above in any oxfam. Unless you consider Val Doonican & Vince Hill as interesting that is :S
Just went to drop something off to a mate and there's a wee Oxfam shop next to his work. Hadn't been going in of late as the prices were getting high and the condition worse. However I did today and picked these up for 10 bob each!!
Had nighshift last night, had a 3 hour sleep and felt it would become a good day when I woke up like a living dead . . .time for sum Alkmaar action -
first I bought 2 new coats I needed and the rest was the black gold what I saw, bought for 60 Euro while the price were actual higher, but the owner was already drunk so he didnt gave a shit anymore LOL!!!!!!!!!! -
Local small record fair today. Only about 9 sellers of mostly symphonic rock and an average visitor age of 50+. Just when I had accepted my losses of €2 entrance fee:
Biggest surprises from a bin with "LP's €1,-" on it with mostly shitty 70's "Alle 13 Goed" and "Hit Explosion" LP compilations, James Last and Neil Diamond records in it (Dutch crate diggers will know the kind of bins) from a seller that had mostly overpriced rock & roll 7" singles I find these:
- Dance 2 Trance - ¿Where Is Dag? (€1,00)
- 808 State - ex:el LTD 2xLP (€1,00)
Both in excellent condition. A real "WTF???" moment!
M.C. Miker "G" - Don't Let The Music Stop one of the Holiday Rap heroes does his best thing here including Wiki Wiki sounding samples, Instrumental Version is the best ;) he's doing sum new tunage now btw wich aint that bad when I heard it :)
My local record shop phoned me when i was in London last week saying he had someone bring some trance 12" in. When i finally got there yesterday these were waiting for me. No trance in sight (thank god!!) just these for the usual price of £1 each:
but the lowpoint of the weekend was stumbling on some of my records in a local shop that were stolen from me over a year ago and having to buy them back (at a cheap price i must add as the owner felt sorry for me)!!!
nebkins Higher Intelligence Agency, The - Colour Reform
Global Communication - Incidental Harmony / Sublime Creation
I think a big "WTF!!!!" is in place here.

The low point was finding out they were stolen. The good part is being able to be able to get them again with not too big losses.
BUNKERHEADZ I see Lenny D and 1991 must be good stuff though I never saw or heard it :-S
Don't get your hopes up :P It's a bit garage house hiphouse and breakbeat. A lot of vocals. It's still a Jam El Mar album and in that period he was making cheesy hiphouse with B.G. The Prince Of Rap. I'll try to put it up on the 'seek so that you can hear it yourself. My rating is only a 3/5.
Aye Klaus, from some Italian dude, guy sold a lot of old Disco toonz as well, but crap Q, stickers on the sleeve from sum big name Itlian Cosmic DJ wich I cant remember, shame :(
BUNKERHEADZ 834. Various - The Best Of STR House & Techno Vol. 3 (CD) (Stealth Records) - STR 4092 CD - €5.00
836. Various - Turn Up The Bass - Volume 15 (CD) ( Arcade) - 01 6381 61 - €2.00
837. Various - Turn Up The Bass - Volume 16 (CD) ( Arcade) - 01 6382 61 - €3.00
I already have the complete TUTB series including both the different versions of 17 + 18 due to the Oh Fortuna rights issue. Stealth compilations are always interesting. Don't have any yet, but I'd rather find these in the wild ;) Thanks for the tip anyway! Marktplaats can be great for when you're not looking for something in particular.
Not really cheap but looking at the crazy prices it has gone up to recently (what's up with the illogical price explosion on a good deal of Chi-town classics???) it was good business.
Still havent finished going through the last collection to post the gems but in the meantime i stumbled on a seriously good gabba collection yesterday. 150 tunes for £225. List to come next week.
