Discogs offers Groups for discussing music and talking about Discogs. Note: Bugs should be reported using the Support Request form, and feature requests should be posted in the Discogs Development forum. It is possible to use message formatting.
Forum/Group Posting Guidelines
Please keep in mind a few simple rules before posting in the forums.
The following behaviors are not allowed on any forum, PM, comment, or
any other part of Discogs.
- Impersonation - Causing users to believe you are another
user or person through using a misleading user name and/or making
misleading posts.
- Vandalism - Posting long individual posts with rubbish or
repetitive content, or otherwise employing excessive communication in
order to disrupt the conversation or annoy other users.
- Flooding - Maliciously posting multiple times in order to disrupt the conversation or annoy other users.
- Death, harassment, or other intimidating threats - Upload, post or
otherwise transmit any threatening or harrasing language against
another user, person, or group.
- Intellectual Property - Posts that infringe patent, trademark,
trade secret, copyright or other intellectual or proprietary right.
This includes the contents of private email messages.
- Illegal - Posts that contains a criminal offense, or a link to a
criminal offense, libelous material, violates the rights of any party,
or otherwise creates liability or violates any local, state, national,
or international law.
- Hate Speech - Any communication that express hatred, condemnation,
contempt, or otherwise infers negative attitudes towards a group of
people, or attacks an individual with reference to their belonging to
one or more of these groups, based on areas such as their ethnic,
cultural, religious or sexual identity, or with reference to physical
or mental health.
- Spam - Post that are commercial in nature, posted in anywhere but
the Spam forum. This includes chain letters, iPod links, or any other
post for monetary or goods gain.
- Flame war - Posting multiple heated posts against another user will not be allowed.
- Hacking, viruses, and other breaches of Discogs or users computers
- Upload, post or otherwise transmit any material that contains
software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed
to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer
software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.
Stay on topic. Post messages in
the appropriate forum.
Discogs retains the right
to delete any message for any reason.
