waiting for the admin post, I guess :) thefoureyedfox wrote:
The reviews are there for me, but now they've moved them to the right side of the page, which looks a bit ugly as now the recent subs are all squished against the left side of the page.

yeah, there they are again. I'd gotten used to them being below. Felt spacious and minimal, clean and warm. I'll get used to whatever, though :)

my inbox looks odd. the list of messages has been pushed to the far right, leaving a column of blank white space in the left. no scrubber on bottom, but looks very odd as the headings at the top dont line up with the messages listed.

anyone else having this display issue or just me? i'm using IE 6.0, and just got my computer back from the shop so i dont know if its a discogs issue or a personal one. All-Day wrote:
My inbox looks the same, I think, but the item for sale display has changed for the worse -- the for sale / seller info etc. text blob at the top used to be in a column to the right of the item description, not stacked above it.

The track listing spacing still needs to be fixed, too. There's no good reason to stretch it out across the entire page with right-aligned artists' names floating in the middle... looks terrible and it's difficult to read on a wide screen. All-Day edited this message 3 months ago. maurydj wrote:
Please Stop wasting time in this continuous change pointless, try to think of better things, this site is becoming a video game - - Thanks - Jayfive wrote:
What because they moved a couple of things around on the home page (which most of us probably never use anyway)?

Get a grip. Inbox looks the same, items for sale looks the same, manage inventory looks the same, profile page is virtually the same besides the thumbnail and the links under each review. Maybe some of the changes arent changes, but fixes so pages now appear as they are supposed to on certain browsers. PabloPlatoanyone else having this display issue or just me? i'm using IE 6.0, and just got my computer back from the shop so i dont know if its a discogs issue or a personal one. Could be you, i just checked IE8 and the inbox looked normal. Its been stated before that any layout changes are based on the most recent version of browsers. These changes are a non-event but I gotta ask: Why this emphasis on reviews all of a sudden? Jayfive edited this message 3 months ago. Jayfive wrote:
They are now given equal billing to submissions to the DB one home page for one thing. The character limits gone, these all these extra buttons, the changes to the profile page. Just wondering why reviews are considered worthy of all this attention - best guess its to get more people involved in the site through interactivity. nerdfly wrote:
this text box is still miles down the page after the post and preview buttons, should be fixed before they meddle with other stuff that aint broke! what's the point of a resizable input box anyway? surely fixed width at the same size as the boxes the posts are displayed in would be perfect?

but what is that "discussion" doing on my profile page ?http://www.discogs.com/user/ahlbomper a few weeks ago i commented the comment you can see there. but i don't think it was added to my profile before the past few days. i REALLY REALLY REALLY don't want it there. another thing i noticed is on some release-pages the recommendations are place on top of discussion/reviews (possibly also on top of release-notes?) i upgraded to IE8 and it looks fine now, but i have yet to reinstall firefox. seems messed up that the same display error appears when viewing the page with the latest version of firefox. |
