Well Respected Breaks/Electro/Tech-house label with artists such as Renegade Soundwave, PFN, Dirk Technic, PMT, Nathan Coles, Smithmonger, DJ HAL.
It was set up in 1998 by Richard Bloor (Rikki Rokkit) who was also managing Tip Records. Wheras Tip was becoming a more international sound 10 Kilo reflected what Richard was being inspired by on London dancefloors.
10 Kilo released one of the most famous early breaks tracks
in PFN's "Stitch Up". PFN was an alias to a band called The Light and PFN have continued to record many more well received singles and an album for 10 Kilo. One single called "Fascination" almost crossed over when it came close to getting a Radio 1 playlist. It was an electro/house/disco tune with a Droyds remix and a vocal from Barbara Alcindor.
Other big singles are "Phantom" (the remixes of Renegade Soundwaves clasic), Dirk Technic's "I Love You" (which became a hit on the electro house scene), PMT's "Gyromancer" remixed by Elite Force and Stanton Warriors and PFN's "Philter"
