There is one word that runs throughout every second of material on Alt Recordings, from the very first EP to the latest tracks. That word is funk. It comes in many different shapes, from loose shuffle that could collapse at any given moment, through to tightly arranged groove crafted to propel the dancefloor. Even in it's deepest moment every sound is placed to stimulate the base instinct of humans to move to rhythmic sounds.
